Last year, despite hindrances and against all odds, my friend Diana and I were able to have our after-summer vacation in Boracay. Due to conflicting schedules we had to reschedule the trip many times and when we did push through, we had to live on a strict budget - still it did not stop us from having a good time. And sure enough we had a great time!
Exploring Boracay this time was twice the fun (the first time I went there was when I was a kid). Visiting the infamous beaches, seeing breath taking sites and going through many activities made me feel like a kid again. It was definitely a paradise away from the bustling city - long hours of swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving, fresh seafood delicacies (YUM!), island hopping, gorgeous sunsets and capping the night off with a relaxing massage under the stars in the bed of soothing sand listening to the soft waves of the water. It almost spelled out heaven. :)
No wonder even foreigners have been captivated by the island. It is magic on it’s own. I guess you can never truly appreciate Boracay until you experience it’s many splendors first hand. :)
